At Life Christian Church, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all people—especially children and young people, and those who are vulnerable or marginalised.
We have a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, grooming, exploitation, harassment, neglect, bullying and any behaviour that places a child or young person at risk. We actively work to promote safety and wellbeing and to prevent harm in every area of church life, including services, ministries, programs, events, and online spaces.
We commit to implementing the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations, and Tasmania’s Child and Youth Safe Standards (which mirror the National Principles), so that child safety is embedded in our leadership, culture, and everyday practices.
Our Commitment to Child and Youth Safety
Australian Christian Churches (ACC) is committed to ensuring that our churches and ministries are safe for everyone.

- facilitate ways in which they are able to contribute to decisions and matters which guide their active involvement in the life of the church (Standard 2).
Supporting Families
We will:
- support families to know that their child or young person is engaging in programming opportunities led by suitably appointed people, people that are safe to work with them (Standard 5),
- uphold family-friendly, faith-centred environments both physically and online (Standard 8),
- equip families with the knowledge to make an informed decision regarding programming opportunities for their child or young person within the life of the church, through accessible policies and procedures (Standard 10).
Building Community
We will:
- commit as a church community to prioritising child and youth safety across all elements of church life, through involvement in training, welcoming legislative change and uphold the Tasmanian Child and Youth Safe Standards (Standard 1 and Standard 7),
- communicate clearly to families, the church community and the local community regarding child and youth safety information, with information publicly available via the church website and at Reception (Standard 3),
